Flag Explanation

The tiger symbol has always occupied a unique place in the courageous history and brave emergence of Tamil nation. therefore we have also chosen the tiger symbol in our flag. The map inside the face of the tiger represents the Lemuria continent (Kumari Kandam) which went under the sea therefore map shown in blue colour. To greet and welcome everyone, the Tamil traditional welcoming artistic girl’s portrait has been placed inside the tiger face.

In order to represent the unique sources of the Tamil language (speech, music and drama), We have placed manuscript, kettle drum with musical instrument and mask in three corner of Kumari Kandam’s map. In the middle of Kumari Kandam we have placed the oldest drawing that has been found in Tamil’s history, a man playing musical instrument called Yarl.

Siren of conch represents ancient Tamil heroism; therefore conch, paddy has been traditional source of food; therefore paddy, the four colours of Tamil Eelam national flag, black, red, white and yellow has been placed in our flag. Union Jack is representing the country we live and our organisation established to serve. The Tamil sentence at base of flag is representing, first human of this world is Tamil and Tamil language is the mother of all languages. The other writings are in Tamil Muththamiz Mandram Southend

(முத்தமிழ் மன்றம் செளத்தென்ட்) represent our organisation’s name. And the Tamil people are living all over the world and our connect factor is Tamil. therefore the slogan of “Tamil is our affinity! Tamil is our excellence! (தமிழால் நம் உறவு! தமிழால் நம் உயர்வு!) has been placed in our flag.
